Dr. Viraj Rajadhyaksha currently serves as the International Oncology Franchise Lead for Lung and Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancers at AstraZeneca. In this global leadership position, he is responsible for developing and executing medical strategies across multiple international regions. His focus is on improving patient access to innovative cancer therapies and advancing treatment standards in oncology. Dr. Rajadhyaksha has held a series of influential positions in global pharmaceutical organizations. Notably, he served as the Area Medical Director for the Middle East and Africa at AstraZeneca, where he led cross-functional teams and drove region- wide strategies in medical affairs across various therapeutic areas.

Dr. Rajadhyaksha is a respected figure in pharmaceutical education. He is the Co-Chair of the Global Forum at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine in London. For over six years, he served on the Education Committee of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (UK), contributing to curriculum development and capacity-building for pharmaceutical physicians worldwide.

Dr. Rajadhyaksha has authored and co-authored over 25 original scientific papers published in reputed international medical journals. His research covers diverse areas, including diabetes, cardiovascular medicine, and oncology. A significant contribution includes his study on the evolving role of pharmaceutical physicians in India, highlighting transitions in the profession and its growing strategic importance in the life sciences sector.

Dr. Rajadhyaksha is deeply committed to medical education and professional development. He has mentored and trained medical students, residents, and early-career pharmaceutical professionals across India, Southeast Asia, and Africa, promoting excellence in clinical research and pharmaceutical medicine.

Dr. Farhan Ahmad Khan, MD (Pharmacology), Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (Royal College of Physician, UK

Distinguished medical pharmacologist and international academic leader

Dr. Farhan Ahmad Khan is a Professor of Pharmacology at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), AMU, India, and an internationally respected figure in pharmaceutical medicine and clinical pharmacology. In recognition of his exemplary academic leadership and contributions to the field, he was conferred the Fellowship of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, Royal College of Physicians, UK, in May 2024. His career, spanning over 15 years, reflects a blend of academic excellence, research leadership, and institutional service across premier Indian medical institutions.

He completed his MBBS and MD (Clinical Pharmacology) from JNMC, AMU, and further enriched his expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetology from NDHCA, New Delhi, and a Certificate in Clinical Management of Diabetes from Apollo Hospitals. His interests encompass rational drug use, therapeutic drug monitoring, and evidence-based therapeutics.

Dr. Khan was appointed Trustee – Senior Academic Leadership at the British Pharmacological Society (2025–2027) and received a Travel Bursary to attend the 19th World Congress of Basic & Clinical Pharmacology, Glasgow (2023), reinforcing his international academic presence.

He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Archives of BioMedical and Clinical Research, has supervised over 20 research theses, and authored 35+ peer-reviewed publications across domains such as antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacovigilance, psychiatry, and endocrinology. As Coordinator of the Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre under PvPI, he is a key contributor to national pharmacovigilance efforts and is frequently invited for CMEs, examinations, and curriculum development.

Dr. Khan has held numerous administrative roles including Medical Superintendent, Joint Director (MCI Cell), and Centre Superintendent for examinations. He has also contributed to several institutional bodies, including the Pharmacovigilance Committee, Animal Ethics Committee, and Anti-Ragging Committee.
